The Mackworth Patient Specific sling is manufactured as an economy, disposable, single patient use product.
However, as this is developed using a white sanforised, cotton, Mackworth suggest that a maximum of 20 washes at the recommended temperatures can be encouraged.
This is highly unusual for a disposable product. When used as a multi-use, disposable patient specific sling, this product is affordable and infection control friendly.
