Prism Comfort Recline Sling

Prism Slings are manufactured in the UK to meet and exceed all relevant design, safety and quality standards.

Compliant with the relevant sections of BS EN ISO 1035:2006 - 'Hoists for the transfer of disabled persons - Requirements and test methods'.

Compliant with the requirements of EU Directive 2007/47/EC

Application

The Prism Comfort Recline Sling is designed for ease of fitting and general transfer. .  It can be used to transfer from the seated to recumbent position or from recumbent to seated.  The sling is designed to remain in position on the chair underneath the person and is ideal when introduction of a sling is difficult (for example, when hoisting a person who uses a tight fitting chair). Its space saver fabric is breathable and stretches to mould into the shape of the chair, ensuring comfort for the person. Use of this sling is subject to risk assessment and monitoring of pressure risks. The person must be assessed by a competent person who must be fully trained in the suitability, application and fitting of the sling.  Carers should always be trained in the use of hoists and slings.

Prism Comfort Recline Sling - Material Variants

 Black/Pink Spacer  -  The sling is made from knitted polyester "spacer" fabric that is manufactured with an 'air gap' internally.  The material stretches slightly in all directions and moulds perfectly to the shape of the person being hoisted.  There is a choice of pink or black material to suit the clients requirements.

Head Supports 

This sling has the option of a taped head support only, as a padded shaped head support would cause an obstruction when the client is sitting in the chair.  The taped head support's attachment straps are variable in length via a slider buckle to give the ultimate adjustability in positioning.

Miscellaneous information

The sling doesn't have any foam, but has an additional layer of the spacer material to give additional comfort to the area at the back of the clients legs.

Size identification will be by the label only rather than the usual colour coded binding method.  This is because this sling has been designed to be discreet whilst left in the chair under the client.

CUSTOMISED AND SPECIAL SLINGS WILL REQUIRE AN ON SITE FULL ASSESSMENT BY A REPRESENTATIVE FROM EASY CARE SYSTEM. ALL ASSESSMENTS WILL BE SUBJECT TO AREA RESTRICTIONS.
