Prism Spreader Bars:

The spreader bars can only be used on a 6 hook carry bar which has been manufactured to take the spreader bars.

The spreader bars enable the depth of the seating postion to be extended.

The spreader bars are used primarily to maintain a supine (reclined) position and work well with the Comfort Recline Sling.

With the spreader bars fitted to a 6 hook carry bar the seating depth of a sling is increased. This has advantages when using large and extra large slings.
